Prior to earning her law degree, Marissa worked for several years as a paralegal at a law firm that represented individuals who were injured by exposure to asbestos. As a paralegal, Marissa provided support in the litigation of a multitude of cases and gained extensive knowledge about the issues involved in cases arising out of asbestos-related injuries. This experience instilled in her a desire to pursue a career fighting for the rights of injured individuals.
Marissa earned her Juris Doctorate from University of California, Berkeley, School of Law in 2010.
