About Andy

Andy Balcer is an Associate at Maune Raichle Hartley French & Mudd. He exclusively represents victims of mesothelioma and their families, and has represented clients with asbestos cancer located in dozens of states, working in a myriad of fields, including automotive mechanics, foundry workers, roughnecks, plumbers, refractory workers, sheetmetal workers, aviation mechanics, construction workers, naval and shipyard workers, boilermakers, safety inspectors, plastics plant workers, insulators, as well as persons who contacted cancer from environmental and neighborhood exposures. Andy has successfully briefed asbestos issues in state trial, appellate and supreme courts, and federal district courts.

Outside of work, Andy is an avid tennis player and enjoys spending time with his family and daughter.

Prior to representing victims of asbestos cancer, Andy worked full-time with Legal Services representing those persons who could not otherwise afford access to the courthouse. He earned his Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University in 2008. His Comment, Can the Taxman “Tax Your Tears”: Murphy v. I.R.S. and the inclusion of personal injury compensation as “income”, was published in the St. Louis Public Law Review.
