About Omari

Mr. Akeem was born and raised on Long Island, New York. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University at Albany, with a major in Criminology and minor in Psychology. Inspired to advocate on behalf of those unable to vigorously advocate for themselves, Mr. Akeem moved to Gainesville, Florida, to attend the University of Florida, Levin College of Law.

Mr. Akeem began his legal career by working tirelessly as an Associate Public Defender in Hillsborough County. This provided him an opportunity to work closely with nearly a thousand clients on complex criminal matters. It was the uniqueness of each case that allowed him to become an effective advocate, utilizing both oral advocacy and a rigorous motion practice to put his clients in the best position to reach a desired resolution. Most notably, Mr. Akeem was selected by his office to litigate on behalf of the suspect in the “Tampa Pipe Bomb” case.

Mr. Akeem thereafter gained invaluable civil litigation experience while working for an Insurance Defense firm in St. Petersburg, where he served as outside counsel for the Pinellas County School Board and litigated insurance cases on behalf of Fortune 500 Companies, Individuals and Corporations throughout Florida.

Mr. Akeem now has the privilege of representing victims who have been tragically affected by mesothelioma. He understands that consistent and meaningful contact with clients is the key ingredient to any successful claim.
